2008 National Appaloosa Horse Show

Just a few candid shots from our "almost nightly" Bar-B-Ques open to friends and neighbors at the Jackson Ms - 2008 National Appaloosa Horse Show- these good-eats were co-sponsored by Gary Raak and Doug Schembri and nicknamed "The Pottery Cafe"- chef duties were shared between Gary and Julian (Jenifer's husband) The weather for the show must have been specially ordered up by the Chamber of Commerce of Jackson, Ms. because it was exceptionally good for June and July anywhere. Comments on the show which had been extremely controversial were very good for the most part that we heard in the general conversation throughout the fairgrounds. In these difficult economic times it is easy to forget that is a privilege and honor to have the ability and the resources to be able compete at a National level horse show.

Breyerfest - what a blast it was unlike anything we have ever done!

I do not even know what to write about it except that we had a blast! - DZ Weedo was on exceptionally awesome behavior since he hasn't been off the farm in over 8 or so years since he was retired to stud duties. The numbers of attendees was staggering and having people wait in line for "his" autograph was amazing. Odie now has tons of photos of him with all types of folks petting and getting to know him from all over the country. Breyerfest is certainly an "experience" for young, old and everyone in between- it was a wonderful opportunity to promote the appaloosa breed to people from all walks of life.

Thank you to all who attended our recent
Reproduction Clinic given by Equine-Reproduction, Jos Motterhead as instructor
and Kathy St. Martin, Director.
The 2-day course was completely booked
and was a great learning experience for all attendees.
